Alumni Bocconi Zurich

Alumni Bocconi Zurich has been created in June 2006 merging the efforts of aluB Zurich and AMSDA Schweiz, the undergraduate and MBA Alumnae active since a couple of years in the German speaking part of Switzerland.

Mission of the association is to facilitate networking for Bocconi former students living and working in the area as well as of any colleague passing by. The goal is also to create more solid links with the local business community, facilitate the creation of business opportunities and continuously improve Bocconi’s image in the country.

The association is mainly active in Zurich, Basel and Zug. Beyond the affiliation with Milano’s headquarters, strong links exist with the other Swiss chapters in Geneva and Lugano and with the rest of Bocconi international network guaranteeing a continuous exchange of information, job openings business opportunities and ideas.

The membership to Alumni Bocconi ensure to undergraduate former students the full membership in aluB network. AMSDA's Ordinary or Contribuiting Members living in Central Switzeland are not asked to pay any additional membership fee for joining Alumi Bocconi Zurich.

More about us

In 2008, Alumni Bocconi Zurich reached 165 associates, most of them employed in financial services, pharma and consulting. You can find a lot of useful statistics on the association reading the President's Notes of the Yearly Meeting.

To become a member, it is required to be a former student of Bocconi University or SDA-Bocconi and be living in the German speaking part of Switzerland. The payment of the Alumni membership fee (or your membership to AMSDA) is required to benefit from all services of the Alumni!

The board is composed by nine members that split tasks and share responsibilities. You can contact the Board for any further request.

Events

To really create the Network, associates can meet each other during one of our monthly apéro and monthly dinner, in Zurich, or in one of our apéro and dinner organized in Basel.

since 2006 our "Flavours from the World" dinners, a journey through the best ethnical cuisines, has let us visit different restaurants in Zurich and 2 in Basel.

Two of our most important strategic goals are to fully integrate our association in the Swiss business Community and to help our member in developing their professional talents. To reach these goals, Alumni Bocconi Zurich is regulary meeting both the business community and the headhunters. But Alumni Bocconi Zurich is not only business. We cooperate also with the Istituto Italiano di Cultura, participating to Lectures and meetings on different (and mostly non-business) subjects.

In the past two years, Alumni Bocconi Zurich managed to survive in excellent shape two wine testing weekends in the Langhe Area (Alba, Italy) and in Bourgougne (Beaune, France). After the success of these events, a third wine tasting trip is upcoming with destination the Chianti region (Castellina in Chianti, Italy).

Most of our Business Events are strictly reserved for Alumni Bocconi members, in particular the "Alumni Bocconi Meets the Headhunters" ones. But we are more than happy to meet friends for our apéros, dinners and other events, with colleagues from other univiersities and of course significant others. Our Event Officers are very happy to welcome any kind of suggestion!
